- Connector compatability
- Your amplifier and speakers may use unmatched connectors. It is much better to purchase a cable with the correct connector on each end than to use adapters.
- Cabler gauge
- Using a speaker cable that is too small can damage your amplifier. Here's a handy chart for computing the cable size you need.
- Jacket
- If your speaker cable is going to be subjected to harsh conditions, make sure it has a tough rubber jacket. Long term outdoor use calls for a cable jacket that has built in sun (UV) protection.
- Coilability
- Speaker cable that is going to be regularly coiled and uncoiled needs to be made from multi-stranded wire. Single conductor wire is difficult to coil and will break down quickly when coiled over and over.
- Vendor
- Any speaker cable you purchase from buyspeakercable.com comes with our "satisfaction guaranteed" promise.
